We may think of daily habits as another chore; something we will get to later. But what if you created one easy daily habit for yourself, and made this the most important part of your day? By saying yes to making yourself a priority, you will take a giant leap forward into self-love and self-empowerment.

Daily habits increase our success incrementally. These daily habits slowly build our consistency and patience. It is like laying small building blocks. You may not see huge progress from day to day, but in six months you may suddenly have a very powerful and strong foundation. Our daily habits also tie into the law of momentum: An object in motion tends to stay in motion. This second law of physics is a reality of life. Once you get started, it is easier to keep going and make progress.

I remember when I was experiencing a two-year span of mild concussions. This was very uncomfortable and demoralizing for me, to say the least. What saved me from a total pity party were my daily habits. I already had a strong foundation of writing out my gratitude, asking powerful questions, centering myself in my body, and focusing on what I wanted.  This enabled me to shift my focus for large periods of time from my current circumstances.

A few powerful questions from my daily habits were: “What can I do today?” “What can make me feel good today?” “How can I make this the best day possible?”

Each day, my physical energy and vibration would increase very incrementally. I had to surrender and let go of the outcome of when I would be healed. Instead, I focused on the small increments of healing and how grateful I was for the other parts of my body that worked well. It wasn’t too bad resting and reading a pile of fabulous books.

No matter where you are in life and what you are experiencing, you can turn it around by establishing one small daily habit. Start with something that is fun and makes you feel good. Team up with a friend and support each other in creating a daily habit. For example if it’s a health habit you could work out together twice a week and make it fun.
